Wendy's Feldenkrais sessions are a mental and physical feast for anybody that looks to learn more about what the overall embodied experience can hold for us. Working with and alongside her in these sessions, leaves me both empowered in my own individual physical journey as well as gives me a greater awareness of how multiple and diverse these experiences can be across a group of people. I find the sessions stimulating in so many ways. The embodied knowledge that I acquire during the more inward journey of each session with Wendy gets transferred into something more outward facing in daily life but also feeds directly my work as a dancer. 

From personal experience I would recommend these sessions also as a complementary work for people who enjoy Yoga, Meditation and Tai Chi & Qi Gong.

The Feldenkrais practice has greatly enhanced my ability to ameliorate both the movement disorders and emotional challenges that accompany Parkinson’s.

After only a few weeks of working with Wendy, I began to notice real, dramatic changes in how my body felt and how I was moving through the world.  I do various movement practices like yoga and Tai Chi, and bringing the Feldenkrais Method to those, I found myself leaping ahead and improving more than I had in months previously.

But also, day-to-day, I simply feel better in my body.  The way Feldenkrais allows you to really notice how your body works, rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all approach is a very new, empowering and liberating way to learn.  I was joking to my girlfriend the other day that I actually remember quite clearly the last time my hips and lower back felt so consistently good - I was about 12 years-old!  I would absolutely recommend working with Wendy to anyone and everyone.  It will be a massive gift you can give yourself.

In each lesson Wendy guides us through a series of movements, giving ample time for rests between each. As we rest, she explains what is happening in the joints and muscles and asks that we shift our attention flexibly here and there to sense what is happening throughout our bodies.  By the end of the lesson, my movements are larger, easier, and better coordinated. My breathing is easy and the movement feels liquid and pleasurable, as though I were swimming. I stand feeling erect and calm and centered, more aware of how balanced my body is.

Feldenkrais is like magic for me.  Every time I do a class, I feel, and then open my eyes and look to see if I am the same person as I was an hour ago.  Often I peep in the class too to see if I have just grown a few inches.
The movements are so subtle and simple,  I have learnt and felt new aspects to my body that I don’t seem to forget. I am in my late 50's and have found that this has enhanced my swimming, my hiking, and everything else I do, both physically and emotionally.

Doing classes with Wendy has added a length and strength to my body and soul. Words do no justice to this method of exercise, it is just amazing.
