After only a few weeks of working with Wendy, I began to notice real, dramatic changes in how my body felt and how I was moving through the world.  I do various movement practices like yoga and Tai Chi, and bringing the Feldenkrais Method to those, I found myself leaping ahead and improving more than I had in months previously.

But also, day-to-day, I simply feel better in my body.  The way Feldenkrais allows you to really notice how your body works, rather than forcing you into a one-size-fits-all approach is a very new, empowering and liberating way to learn.  I was joking to my girlfriend the other day that I actually remember quite clearly the last time my hips and lower back felt so consistently good - I was about 12 years-old!  I would absolutely recommend working with Wendy to anyone and everyone.  It will be a massive gift you can give yourself.

In each lesson Wendy guides us through a series of movements, giving ample time for rests between each. As we rest, she explains what is happening in the joints and muscles and asks that we shift our attention flexibly here and there to sense what is happening throughout our bodies.  By the end of the lesson, my movements are larger, easier, and better coordinated. My breathing is easy and the movement feels liquid and pleasurable, as though I were swimming. I stand feeling erect and calm and centered, more aware of how balanced my body is.

I took Wendy's ten week Feldenkrais course and it changed the way I walk.  All my life, people would tell me to put my shoulders back or pull my neck back. I would muscle through it but as I aged, activities I enjoyed became increasingly painful from muscle fatigue.

In my late 50's, I assumed postural realignment was not going to happen and then a friend asked me to join her for Wendy's class.

At first the simple movements seemed silly but it was relaxing and then I realized that the movements were building muscle memory without my realizing. Over time, new feeling of alignment moved from my hips to my ribs to my shoulders and finally to my head.

My body now moves through space with ease, with my weight resting on my bones rather than my muscles.  I can now enjoy full participation in the activities I enjoy thanks to just one course in Wendy's Feldenkrais class.
